During the year I've had and tested this product, I've had no problems with the plastic cracking, and the transparent plastic bottom part hasn't started clouding yet - I haven't tried putting these through the dishwasher (not sure what that'd do to the plastic, but it's probably not advised). I like the variety of lid colors, color-coding makes it easier to organize, and they are great for labeleing with stickers. However, I do wish there was an option to have an opaque black bottom part, rather than the clear one (so as to block sunlight damage, as well as to protect private contents from spying eyes). DecoJars offer a HUGE variety of sizes and colors, so be sure to grab exactly what you need, and they often generously send a sample pack of some other products, so buying from them has always been an affordable, quick, and customer-friendly affair (with options to customize specific orders, just send them a message at the time of ordering). I'm not sure how or where these are made (they seem to be pressure injection molded) (and apparently based out of california somewhere). To be honest, I wish DecoJars had a full official website with more info about manufacturing, as currently it's just an EBay and Etsy storefront, with little more to prove actual country of origin than a picture saying "made in usa" - but the jars are solidly built and are tightly fitting, and the owner is always very friendly to work with !
