I don't know with certainty where the metal tin is made, nor the actual soy wax for the candle itself (Himalaya?) - I cant imagine much is actually made here besides printing the label on the cardboard box, but I've been surprised before. Anyway the container is good at absorbing and dispersing heat, so picking it up wont scald you fingers (but I would reccommend using a coaster or some kind of base to prevent any heat damage to tables). The candle burned smoothly and unformly (though keep in mind, the opaque walls of the jar will block any horizontally cast light or glow, and most of the candlelight is cast upwards). The website boasts the Cafe Tin can be refilled with your own melted wax (but you can do that with most sorts of containers, so take that for what it is). The scent I bought, Grapefruit Pine was really pleasant with a super light and natural fruity smell like walking through a produce nursery in the springtime in appalachains. A fragrance that would effervesce even while the candle was unlit. I look forward to trying some other HimalayanCandleCo fragrances (but I'll wait until the next discount sale). " -MadeInUSAReview
