The quality of the sauce is, okay - nothing amazing but I'm sure it could be vastly improved with the addition of a few extra spices and plenty of butter. The low sodium version may leave a bit to be desired in terms of taste, but if your health / doctor demands you maintain a saltless diet, then this can be a really affordable option for your spaghetti. The fact it's canned (to most folks nowadays) means it will more be used as a long term pantry cooking item or last case scenario (when the store is closed and you need to cook something up) kind of product. Obviously cooking with fresh garden tomatoes is always preferrable, but considering buying fresh produce more time sensitive, is a bit more expensive and that this is a shelf stable item that can be for many months (if not years) down the line, there's not much to hate (the ingredients aren't too bad). Many people dont have the backyard to grow tomatoes in, let alone access to fresh vegetables at a grocery store, so if you're limited in terms of sources, the USA thankfully has affordable products like this in terms of sauces.
