The steel conducts temprature more than plastic would, and this makes the drink feel cooler in your hand, which can be especially refreshing on a hot summer day. I picked up two 12 packs of Silgan Chill-Cups to see how they faired for carrying drinks, reusablility, and perhaps a few rounds of beer pong with friends. They feel great to drink from, a bit heavier than you're used to with plastic, but they feel solid and resistant to denting. I got maybe 3 to 5 uses from each up depending how well I cleaned and dried them previously (I often just opted to toss them, and didn't feel as bad being that steel is so easily recyclable). As for beer pong - the balls reflect off these heavier, denser cups much more easily than the standard solo cup, but after a round we changed technique, and it ended up being an entertaing gimmick - much like a tennis play mixing it up by playing on a clay court. Jokes aside these cups are a great product if youre environmantally minded, don't like drinking from plastic, or just want a beer pong cup that can be reused many times. Silgan Containers has made an affordable US-steel comptetitor to the massive "solo cup" brand, and I think that's definitely worth checking out. "
