Product Review; " I was looking for a heavy insulated jacket - and I managed to find an old US-made Carhartt J140, pre-owned on EBay, for a really great price. The coat was still holding up in good condition after apparent heavy wear, which goes to speak for it's duribility - the thick cotton exterior doesn't easily rip or puncture, and the nylon polymer threads reinforce the fabric for a very heavy duty feeling article of clothing. Designed for intense cold temperatures, this in combination with a windbreaker layer can keep you warm in even the most intense winter blizzards. Unfortunately I don't belive there are any cinching strings, or a way to seal up the bottom edge so it's not open to draft, so make sure to buy the appropriate size for your body to prevent any gaps or openings. Carhartt has really done a lot of damage to their brand by choosing to stop making jackets like this in the states - Don't be fooled by modern Carhartt J140s, they're no longer US-made, the overall design and distribution of materials has been slightly changed, and the current stock is a poor imitation of the old American made model. If you can find one of the old domestic version I highly reccommend it (the old jacket is great), but as it stands I wouldn't even really want to show off or represent any carhartt brand products - or people might think I'm someone who buys imports !" -MadeInUSAReview
