Unfortuantely, (and I'm not sure if I just got a bad unit, or if this is a more common problem) I picked up a WeatherShield PowerPlus fan (black) and after only about 2 months, the fan randomly ceased to function one day, and I wasn't able to fix it by trying to disassemble and inspect what went exactly broke. Not sure if Lasko has discontinued this product, and all the stores I saw listings on, had none in stock (though this model is still listed on the Lasko official page, with no mention of discontinuation). Although my fan dying too soon may be an edge case, I only have my experience to go off of, so it's tough for me to recommend this Power-Plus variant (when I've owned many "standard model" Lasko fans which lasted many years). An especially unfortunate issue, being that the #B20540 / #B20801 models are a bit more expensive, and promise to be (about 20%) more powerful and resistant to weather damage (which is important because they normally live in a window sil). Most Lasko products are excellent, so I still suggest the company on a whole, but this model has crapped out on at least one customer, so buyer beware ." -MadeInUSAReview
