The actual "made in USA" versions are back all the way from the 60s, a collectors antique by now -but still usable as a morning coffee brewer if you so chose. The old American version is differentiated by the greenish stamp (as opposed to the clean white printed logo of modern imported Chemex models), small nubbish feet on the underside, as well as a slightly wider top funnel area. The design of this classic coffeepot withstands the test of time - requiring only a paper or cloth filter, your preferred coffee grounds, and some piping hot water - there was a few sizes, the most common holding 4 cups, but there are smaller and larger makes to look out for. Unfortunately, because Pryex / Chemex have chosen to tarnish the brand with disquised and intentionally unlabeled imports, I obviously cannot reccommend anyone but their new stock products anymore, but if you desire to seek out the vintage domestic model, they glass still holds up for making a great cup of coffee !" -MadeInUSAReview
