Apogee's main problem is not marketing them as a Made in USA product, it's nowhere in the advertising and hardly a mention on the official website, but to many US consumers, domestic manufacturing is one of the most important "product features" to look for when shopping. The HypeMic has really solid build quality, I've even dropped it on the floor once or twice over the years and it's still going fine. Inclusing an adjustable-height tripod (about one foot maximum height), a simple pop filter, carrying case, and necessary connection cables, it's a very functional package right out of the box, just plug into your PC, it'll automatically download drivers, and it's good to go with any modern recording software or chatting programs like Audacity, OBS, Discord, or VoiceMeeter. The Mic itself connects through Micro USB (Micro-USB to USB-A cable included), has a 3.5mm headphone port for monitoring audio, and a "gain knob" with few sound setting presets to toggle through by clicking the knob. Unfortunately no easy way to quick-mute the mic via the gain knob, besides scrolling it all the way down, which is cumbersome and inaccurate. So I opted to use a digital mute button through OBS (or VoiceMeeter). All-in-all this microphone is a great value, well built, and supports an honest American company - I don't believe all of Apogee's product line is US-made, but this model is, and I applaud them for that." -MadeInUSAReview
