I used my pair for a bout 3 years, and I only had to switch because I needed Steel-Toes for work. These are comfortable when broken in, with a snug fit, but I will say, you may want to consider buying a shoe-size larger than what you'd normally buy, or maybe try a gel insole, because I had some problems with the heel rubbing during long days of wear, to the point it would even rub through the back of my socks ! After I swapped in a thicker insole (which kept my heel away from the problem area), I was able to get a full lifespan out of these boots, and they held up well otherwise. The pair I bought was from EBay (new-old-stock), so it is possible they were some kind of manufacturing fluke, or that they were stored in a way that created the problem I had with the heels rubbing.
