" This high-performance glass pie pan ensures a beautiful presentation. A versatile classic for baking fruit pies, pot pies, crisps, quiches and more, this pan is accented with fluted details for an appealing, vintage look. The tempered Pyrex® glass can go directly into a preheated oven, and it heats evenly for consistent results. It’s also great for no-bake and freezer pies. "

Product Review; " Although I don't bake too many pies, the durability and multipurpose shape of this dish make it a pretty useful kitchen utensil. Pyrex glassware is primarily what I use in my kitchen for plates, so I was familiar with the enduring durability of their products - the temepered glass can survive even small drops, and theyre rated to be safe for virtually any kind of kitchen cooking application from ovens to freezers (just about everything excluding stovetop ranges). The fluted design of this plate gives it a subtle elegance - and adds those nice crimps to any pies cooked with it, and the "easygrab" handles (though small) allow for a convenient and balanced spot to position oven-mitts (so as never to drop the pie). I've been known to just use the 229 as a regular diningroom plate (especially when other dishes are being washed) - it's microwave-safeness makes reheating 3 day old leftovers easy, and the high walls prevent any spillage and allow for big piles of food like its thanksgiving dinner. Overall this is a really affordable and lifetime-lasting plate - A kitchen staple !" -MadeInUSAReview
