The company was apparently committed to US-manufacturing for the greater part of its history, but as of the last few years, they have unfortunately given-in and resorted to selling imported versions of its original products. Not sure of which exact model number I have (there were a few similar looking, but different variations I saw just during my breif shopping investigation), but most of the shirts were made from a combination of polyester and lycra fabric - making them extremely wicking to moisture, aiding in evaporative cooling, and its a somewhat thick layer, which can really help you retain core warmth in frigid temperatures. For my work, I need to wear primarily dark colored clothing, and thankfully I've seen PolarMax shirts most commonly in a black, but if you need brigher shades for whatever reason, gray and white colors do exist, though they're all becoming more rare in the wild every day (as old-stock vintage products tend to do). Although PolarMax still exists, like I said they have been selling more and more imports, so make sure of what you're buying before you do - but older items you see on secondhand stores were probably manufactured in the states up until just a few years ago, so keep and eye out and you might score a really high quality piece of winter apparel.
