Puritan made excellent quality clothing of all varieties for decades since the great depression, before being bought out by Warnaco in the 90's, and domestic production ceased shortly thereafter. Their clothes are still floating around in secondhand / new-old-stock storefronts, and the build quality supercedes most you'd find in stores today. The green stripes are an intriguing design, feel cool and complimentary in the summer and fall seasons, and the light breezy cotton wicks away mousture. I recommend seeking out old US-made clothing as opposed to paying for new imported clothes - as if enough of us do, it will send a message that the demand is there, and clothing companies will return to domestic manufacturing !
